Thrifting always feels like a treasure hunt for me because I never know what am going to find, which make the experience even more exciting. And just like every treasure hunt, there are times that you come out empty handed but of course there are also days that are pretty successful. This whole look is a combination of some of my successful finds that have found a happy place in my wardrobe which will make regular appearances on my Blog, as evident here & here.

Who doesn't reach for their most comfortable piece of clothing that they own when the weather suddenly changes & temperatures drop? This sweater dress is that piece for me because not only is it warm & comfortable, but it also stylish in a simple way. I styled it differently in this previous post but on this day, we were just going shopping for a few things & I didn't really feel like going all the way out with the styling. So I teamed it up with my favorite socks & sneakers to...

Embroidery or appliques on pieces are very on trend at the moment & as always for me, I like to test such trends first on DIYs before investing in them. This striped shirt has been in my closet for almost 5 years & i thought a little embroidery on it would give it a 'new lease of life'. So, i cut out some flowers from a floral Ankara print that i had left over & embroidered these on the shirt, & I really love how different the shirt looks now. I styled it with this DIY leather...

I can literally count the number of 'white pieces' that i have in my wardrobe because 'white & I' have always had a Love-Hate relationship. Trust me, I love how crisp & clean it looks when you have on something white, but what I can't stand is the high maintenance side of it. You have to be careful about where you sit, how you eat, who or what you come into contact with, which with 2 kids is almost impossible to avoid. But because one of my 2017 resolutions is to come out of my comfort...

What is more fashionably reliable than an LBD (Little Black Dress) worn all year round. It is very elegant, works with every woman's shape & can be combined in so many styles & outfits. For someone who is a sworn lover of prints, I have to admit that I do own quite a few LBD's in my wardrobes & they are my 'rescue' go-to outfits when i really can't decide on what to wear, & this lace one is by far my favourite. I've had it for almost 5 years & has been combined it into so...

Who knew that finding a nice pair of flared pants in Fall/Winter on short notice would be so difficult. After spending almost half a day running around shopping malls & thift shops, I finally decided to make myself one. So, off I went to Karstadt where i got some Black Denim Fabric which i used to make these pants. I didn't even have time to finish off the hems because I was travelling to Berlin for an event (blogged about it here) but i actually loved the 'unfinished finish' look of them....

Who would have thought that attending an Exhibition all about 'Sneakers' would be so interesting. I am not exactly a 'Sneaker/Sport shoes Fan' even though i have to admit that they are the most comfortable shoes ever made. But walking through the Exhibition & reading all about the history & development of this 'Kult' in the last years was really impressive.
