I was recently invited to a party by a friend (actually a lady that I work for who has since become a friend). This is me heading out to my Work's Christmas Party. Only that there's no 'Work Christmas Party' because I work alone & that is not my real hair:-). But if there was ever such a party, this is how I would show up because this outfit sums up my personality (mixing business with pleasure), always ready for business but also full of fun & energy.

And such journeys include entrepreneurship where you are forced to second-guess every single decision that you make. This blog title doesn't really make sense at first does it...But let me try & explain it, October is here, am in an 'all black everything' outfit & currently at a happy place in my life. Just got back from a long weekend trip that was amazing, I feel fully recharged and ready to take on the last quarter of the year & all that it has to bring.

I can count the number of 'pink' clothing pieces that I own & they are probably less than 5. That's quite surprisingly few for someone who loves bright colors like I do. This dress was a summer thrift find that was slightly too fitted around my bust that I 'adjusted' with a little ingenuity. I usually pair it with a white t-shirt underneath for a casual daytime look but on this evening, I decided to rock it on it's own for 'Date night'.

The sun is shining, it's getting warmer, am getting darker by the day & have no interest at all in wearing tight-fitted jeans. Mom jeans, boyfriend jeans & straight leg jeans are my thing at the moment, combined with summery tops & accessories & I am ready for this 'early summer'.

Now that Spring has decided to play 'Hide & Seek' with this year, I guess that it's wise for us to also try & sneak in some color into our outfits. Of course we still have to keep ourselves warm but also try to brighten up the dark days that are still upon us.

February which in my view is the month of love is here with us & we have a reason to wear lots of red. This is one of my favorite red sweaters (only one actually) & it has been in my closet for almost 5 years. It is a trusty piece in my wardrobe that I can always rely on to brighten up any dull outfit.

Sometimes we read too much into words or statements made by people without giving them a chance to explain themselves. This might end up damaging relationships that have taken years to build & really hurt the people that we love. This cute sweater is the perfect reminder that things aren't always what they look like (just imagine me as a Gangster Rapper)!
