Am pretty late jumping on the 'Gingham' bandwagon as you can see, but better late than never right. I bought this dress earlier this summer off of Ebay but for some reason, never got to wear it. I honestly felt that I was showing too much with the sleeveless arms, short length & a slit too. So, I looked for a fabric with the similar print, added long sleeves to it, a ruffle detail & created an inverted 'envelope' on the slit.

On an invitation from 'Power4Brands', a PR Firm based here in Hamburg, I attended the Press Day 'Spring meets X-mas' for the Brand 'Orsay' which was showcasing their newest Spring '18 Collection. The Collection is a mix of asian inspired, modern, pops of colors but also with the basic pieces that every woman always needs in their wardrobe. This is what I wore to a work Christmas Party earlier last week, dinner & later a very intersting comedy show at the 'Imperial Theater' in Reeperbahn. Red is the colour of the season & this shift dress is perfect. I combined it with my favourite platform heels to finish off this 60's inspired look.

A black pencil skirt is one basic piece that every woman should have in their closet. But why not take it a notch higher & get one in leather. There is nothing basic about this one that I thrifted on Ebay because not only does it fit perfectly (not too tight & not too short) but it also has pockets 🙌🏾, yes you read it right, Pockets.
