Sometime back in October, I had a great opportunity to meet & connect with amazing black business women entrepreneurs in Berlin for a fun-filled evening & networking event. This event happened to also coincide with the official launch of 'MyUrbanology', an online platform whose aim is to shine a light on the strengths & strides of people, especially people of color who are doing their thing & positively making an impact not only on the people around them but also online & to...

This blog title doesn't really make sense at first does it...But let me try & explain it, October is here, am in an 'all black everything' outfit & currently at a happy place in my life. Just got back from a long weekend trip that was amazing, I feel fully recharged and ready to take on the last quarter of the year & all that it has to bring.

There were days when I would accompany my husband to the hardware store & show very little interest in what he was there to look for or to buy. But in the last couple of months, I have suddenly started initiating such visits (to his surprise) as I try to keep up with my DIY projects whose results I can't wait to share with you.

It's officially sequin season so let's get our favourite pieces out. This sequin skirt is an old purchase which I usually pull out on rare party occasions. But am always very particular about how I style because it is clearly short & sparkly & that is one combination that can come off a bit 'riskay'. So, to tone things down, I wore it with an oversize white button down shirt which adds a 'polite' touch to the outfit with it’s crispyness.

Gone are the days when Camo Print was reserved for service men & women, now it has become a Fall fashion basic which is loved by everyone, & surprise surprise, by me too. I loved this fabric from the first time that I saw it & my plan was to make some kind of pants from it. But unfortunately I didn't buy enough of it & that's how it ended up being a circle skirt. The paperbag waist detail was just a little something that I felt that the skirt needed to give it a little edge. Am...

''Are you sure that you are dressed to go out?'' That’s what Hubby asked me as I stood at the door ready to leave the house. ''Why?'',I replied, pretending not to know what he meant. He went along to 'enlighten' me on the fact that I had on a Pyjama shirt & in his words, ''House slippers'' on🤦🏾♀️. Oh well, I actually do love my 'well-thought out' Outfit, otherwise I wouldn’t be sharing it with you guys & putting myself in a ridiculing position, would I.

A black pencil skirt is one basic piece that every woman should have in their closet. But why not take it a notch higher & get one in leather. There is nothing basic about this one that I thrifted on Ebay because not only does it fit perfectly (not too tight & not too short) but it also has pockets 🙌🏾, yes you read it right, Pockets. This is one piece that you can style in so many ways which I wanted to share them with you. Check out the Lookbook that I made showing the 4 ways...

2 years ago today, I officially registered 'Oriwo-Design' & a lifelong dream of mine came true, and it truly still feels like a dream. ,You know that saying that goes 'If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life', well, it's not true. I do what I love every single day and it is really hard work. But the only difference is that there this feeling of satisfaction & happiness that I get when a client loves an outfit that I made them, that is just unbeatable. Thank you so...

Am a hopeless romantic who lacks the ability to hide my true feelings, hence the DIY heart patches on the elbows of my new favourite sweater/knit dress. This maxi dress truly defines my 'Fashion mood' during winter; simple, warm, cuddly but casual enough to be worn both out & inside the house. You know how when you get home after a long & exhausting day, the first thing that you can think about is to change into something more comfortable. Well, with this dress, you actually don't need...
